On August 22, WSS 2022 "Intelligent Sensors Applications for Oil and Gas Pipelines" was held successfully at the Zhengzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center.


This event was organized by the Zhengzhou Municipal People's Government, the Henan Association for Science and Technology (HAST), Shenyang Academy of Instrumentation Science Co., Ltd., the National Engineering Research Center of Transducer, PipeChina General Research Institute of Science and Technology, the Instrument Process Branch of China Instrument and Control Society, and the Transducer & Sensor Branch of the China Instrument Manufacturer Association, and co-organized by the Administrative Committee of Zhengzhou High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, the Zhengzhou Association for Science and Technology, and Zhengzhou Anran I&C Technology Co., Ltd.


Fang Weiping, Vice President and First Class Counsel of HAST; Zhu Jianjun, Deputy Secretary General of the Zhengzhou Municipal People's Government and other leaders attended and addressed the forum. Also present were nearly 300 experts and business representatives in the sensor field.

Cai Yongjun, Director of PipeChina General Research Institute of Science and Technology; Tian Guiyun, Professor of the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China and Newcastle University; Song Huadong, Deputy Director of the National Engineering Research Center of Transducer; Wu Xuezhong, Professor of National University of Defense Technology; Li Zhigang, President of Hanwei Electronics Group Corporation; and Zhou Jianyong, Senior Engineer of Mitsubishi Electric Automation (China) Ltd. made keynote presentations entitled Development of Sensing Technology for Long-distance Oil and Gas Pipelines, R&D and Application of Electromagnetic Sensing-based Internal Detectors, Research on Key Technology of Internal Detection Instruments for Metal Pipelines, Micro Low-cost Inertial Orientation Technology, Ensuring the Overall Safety of Oil and Gas Pipeline Networks through Coordinated Efforts, and Digital Construction and Application of Oil and Gas Pipeline Networks respectively. With focus on the application of intelligent sensor technology in oil and gas pipeline networks, the forum showcased the latest research findings of intelligent sensor application in oil and gas pipeline networks, and discussed the future development of intelligent sensors. The success of the forum played a positive role in promoting the application of sensor technology in new fields and the development of the sensor industry.
