On August 21, WSS 2022 "Sensitive Materials for High Performance Sensors--Industry Foundation Session" was held successfully in Zhengzhou. The forum was organized by the Zhengzhou Municipal People's Government, the Department of Science and Technology of Henan Province, the Instrument Functional Materials Branch of China Instrument and Control Society, Chongqing Materials Research Institute Co., Ltd. and Henan Academy of Sciences (HNAS), and co-organized by the Administrative Committee of Zhengzhou High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, the Zhengzhou Science and Technology Bureau and Henan 863 Software Co., Ltd. Present were Jiang Desheng, Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) and Chief Professor of Wuhan University of Technology (WUT); Li Changming, Member of the Academy of Europe, Foreign Member of the Russian Academy of Engineering and Professor of Suzhou University of Science and Technology (SUST); Song Kexing, Executive President of HNAS; Tao Manxi, Deputy Director General of the Department of Science and Technology of Henan Province; and Wang Baolai, Deputy Secretary General of the Zhengzhou Municipal People's Government. Held online and offline, the forum explored the integrated development of industries with focus on sensitive materials and sensor linkage. Among more than 1,500 online and offline attendees were experts and scholars, business representatives, science & technology workers and journalists in such as sensor sensitive materials and components, and intelligent sensors.

A grand occasion of the venue

Liu Qi, Deputy General Manager of Chongqing Materials Research Institute Co., Ltd., hosted the forum. Tao Manxi, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director General of the Department of Science and Technology of Henan Province, delivered an address. Five academicians and experts: Jiang Desheng, Li Changming, Song Kexing, Zhai Fuqiang and Zhao Hongbin, made keynote presentations entitled Optical Fiber Sensing Network and Its Intelligent Application, Intelligent Sensing Technology and Its Progress, Key Preparation Technology and Application of High-performance Conductor Materials, Fiber-based Ultra-sensitive Pressure Sensors and Research on  Their Application in Intelligent Masks and Electronic Larynxes, and Development Facts of Biomedical Sensing Technology for Life Health, exchanging ideas and aired views on the technical development and achievement transformation of sensitive materials and intelligent sensors.
